Tender pasta is tossed with seared kielbasa, vibrant veggies, and a creamy, flavorful sauce. It’s a hearty and satisfying dish that’s perfect for busy nights when you need something delicious and effortless.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 12 oz kielbasa, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Extra Parmesan for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Sear the Kielbasa
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, add the diced onion and bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. Make the Creamy Sauce
Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for about 3-5 minutes until it begins to thicken slightly.

  5. Combine and Season
Add the cooked pasta and kielbasa back into the skillet. Stir well to coat everything in the creamy sauce. Add Parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper, and mix until the cheese melts and the dish is creamy.

  6. Serve and Garnish
Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Pasta Choice: Any pasta works, but penne or rotini are great for holding the creamy sauce.
  • Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you prefer a bit of heat.
  • Cheese Variety: Swap Parmesan for Asiago or Romano for a different flavor twist.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of broth or cream to refresh the sauce.
