Description

Light, crispy, and fluffy homemade waffles made easy with Bisquick mix! Perfect for a quick breakfast or brunch, these waffles are customizable with sweet or savory toppings.

Ingredients

Scale

Basic Waffle Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup milk (or plant-based alternative)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter

Optional Add-Ins for Flavor

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for extra sweetness)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (for a warm, spiced flavor)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips, berries, or chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Prepare the Batter

    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together Bisquick mix, milk, eggs, and oil until just combined.
    • Avoid overmixing—some lumps are okay!
  • Preheat the Waffle Maker

    • Turn on your waffle maker and allow it to heat fully.
    • Lightly grease the plates with cooking spray or melted butter.
  • Cook the Waffles

    • Pour batter into the center of the waffle maker (about ½ cup per waffle, depending on size).
    • Close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown.
    • Remove carefully using a fork or silicone spatula.
  • Serve & Enjoy!

    • Top with maple syrup, butter, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
    • For a savory twist, try cheese, bacon, or eggs on top!

Notes

  • For Crispier Waffles: Increase oil to 3 tbsp and cook until deep golden brown.
  • For a Vegan Version: Use flax eggs (1 tbsp flaxseed + 3 tbsp water per egg) and almond or oat milk.
  • Make Ahead: Freeze waffles in an airtight container and reheat in the toaster for a quick breakfast.
