Description

A delicious twist on traditional king cake featuring boudin sausage and cheese, perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent rolls
  • 1 lb boudin sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions (chopped)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the crescent rolls into a flat sheet and pinch seams together to form a single layer.
  3. Spread the boudin sausage evenly over the crescent dough.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese and chopped green onions on top of the boudin.
  5. Roll the dough over the filling to form a log shape, and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the top of the dough with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
