Description

A delightful meal combining savory steak, cheesy tortellini, and a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Boil water in a large pot. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prep the Steak: Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Sear the Steak: Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and let rest before slicing thinly.
  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, mixing well. Slowly add the parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth.
  6. Mix Everything Together: Add the cooked tortellini and sliced steak to the skillet. Toss until well coated in the sauce.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat gently, adding a splash of milk if needed.
