Description

Delicious and crispy Fried Mac and Cheese Bites, perfect for parties or snacks.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the cooked macaroni, cheese, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Roll each ball in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or pan to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the bites in batches for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain them on paper towels. Serve warm.

Notes

Pairs well with marinara or spicy sriracha sauce. If leftovers are available, store in the fridge for 2-3 days.
