Description

Delightful red velvet cinnamon rolls topped with creamy frosting, perfect for special occasions or cozy brunches.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk (warm)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for frosting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, egg, food coloring, and vanilla.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and knead until a dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread it with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut it into rolls.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. For the frosting, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Spread frosting over warm rolls and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure milk is warm but not hot to activate yeast. Allow dough to rise in a warm place. Don’t skip the frosting for added flavor.
