Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the cooked ground beef mixture. Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the top.
  4. Add the remaining potato slices on top and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  6. Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
