Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the cooked ground beef mixture. Spread the cream of mushroom soup over the top.
- Add the remaining potato slices on top and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Experiment with different cheeses and add vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra nutrition.
