Description
A comforting dish that blends the flavors of a juicy cheeseburger with creamy pasta, loaded with ground beef, crispy bacon, and gooey cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
- 1 pound ground beef (can substitute with ground turkey or chicken)
- 6 slices bacon (cooked and crispy)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the short pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the beef. Mix well.
- Reduce the heat to low. Add the cream cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Then mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until it is fully melted and combined.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix until everything is well combined.
- Chop the crispy bacon and mix it into the pasta dish, saving a little for topping if you like.
- Serve immediately, garnished with the remaining bacon if desired.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add crushed red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños. Use different kinds of cheese for variety, such as mozzarella or pepper jack.
