Description

Easy, moist pear cake recipes for every level of baker—classic, rustic, and elegant styles included.

Ingredients

Scale

2 ripe Bosc pears, sliced

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup almond flour

1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

2. In a bowl, whisk flour, almond flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

3. In another bowl, beat eggs, sugar, vanilla, and melted butter.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

5. Fold in sliced pears (lightly floured to prevent sinking).

6. Pour batter into pan, spread evenly.

7. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden and set.

8. Cool before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar or glaze if desired.

Notes

Use firm pears like Bosc or Anjou.

Great with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
