Description

A comforting and easy one-dish meal that combines pork chops, rice, and a creamy mushroom sauce, topped with cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, layer the cooked rice evenly.
  3. Place the pork chops on top of the rice.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, chopped onion, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour this mixture over the pork chops.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of everything.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. For a crispy top, broil the casserole for a few minutes after baking.
