Description
Nutritious and delicious bagels made with Greek yogurt, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour (can substitute with whole wheat or gluten-free flour as needed)
- 1 cup Plain (Non-Fat Greek Yogurt)
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- Add the Greek yogurt to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more flour as needed.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then poke a hole in the center with your finger to form a bagel shape.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the egg wash over the bagels. Add toppings such as seeds or herbs if desired.
- Place the bagels on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Once baked, let the bagels cool on a wire rack for a few minutes. They are ready to serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Store any leftover bagels in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage. Measure flour correctly to avoid dense bagels.
