Description

A delicious snack featuring creamy goat cheese, crunchy walnuts, and fragrant herbs, perfect for gatherings or a special treat.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz pitted Medjool dates
  • 4 oz goat cheese, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 orange (zest and 2 teaspoons juice)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Hot honey for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each date lengthwise and fill it with 1-2 teaspoons of goat cheese.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the chopped walnuts, rosemary, orange zest, orange juice, cinnamon, sea salt, and olive oil until well combined.
  4. Arrange the stuffed dates in a baking pan and top each date with the walnut mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  6. After baking, let the dates rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer to a serving platter and drizzle with hot honey. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, use flavored goat cheese such as herb or honey goat cheese. You can add other nuts or adjust the amount of hot honey based on your spice preference.
