- 4 pork chops
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for searing
Instructions
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the chops and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook until the onions are caramelized.
- Sprinkle flour over the onions and cook for another minute.
- Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring to combine.
- Add the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, cover, and cook for an additional 10 minutes, until the pork is cooked through and the gravy has thickened.
- Serve the pork chops with the creamy gravy on top.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute chicken breasts and use low-fat cream or coconut milk.
