- 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts)
- 1/4 cup coconut oil or butter, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon. Spread them evenly in a baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the rolled oats, almond flour, chopped nuts, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until combined.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture over the apples to form an even layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
- Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Best served warm with ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
