Description

Ingredients

  • 2 medium pork chops
  • Salt and pepper
  • 60g melted butter
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 15ml extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C / 428°F.
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Melt the butter in a small bowl and stir in the minced garlic and chopped thyme.
  4. Heat a skillet and add the olive oil.
  5. Sear the pork chops for 2 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  6. Pour the melted butter mixture into the skillet and baste the pork chops.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 14 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  8. Let the chops rest for 5 minutes, spoon the buttery sauce over them, and enjoy!

Notes

For optimal flavor, serve with sides like mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables, and garnish with fresh thyme.
