Description
Deliciously soft and chewy blondies infused with fresh apples and topped with a warm maple glaze.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 large apples (chopped finely)
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 11×7 pan with tin foil or spray with cooking spray.
- Mix chopped apples with 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 1 Tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Cream together the softened butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and dark brown sugar until smooth. Add in the eggs, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon, mixing well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined. Fold in the apple mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a bowl for the maple glaze. Stir in maple syrup, powdered sugar, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon until smooth.
- Let the blondies cool slightly before drizzling the maple glaze on top.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Delicious with ice cream or whipped cream.
