Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pork chops
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the seasoning mix over both sides of the pork chops.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer the chops to a baking dish and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the pork chops in the seasoning mix for a few hours before cooking. Make sure not to overcook the pork chops; use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach 145°F (63°C). Let the chops rest after cooking to keep them juicy.
