Ingredients

- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup nut butter (such as almond or peanut butter)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips or dried fruit (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, and all the spices.
- Mix until well combined.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips or dried fruit.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the energy balls on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Notes
For added sweetness, adjust the honey or maple syrup to taste. Experiment with different nut butters for unique flavors.
